CubePDF 4.2.0 has been released. The updates are as follows.
End support for “Optimize PDF for fast Web view” option
While PDF files usually need to be read from the end of the file first, there is a specification called Linearized PDF that allows the file to be read from the beginning of the file. This feature is described as Optimize PDF for fast Web view in Adobe Acrobat, etc., and CubePDF has been using the same terminology since its first release.
However, there are now an increasing number of libraries that do not support this feature in the first place or provide it in an incomplete state, and problems caused by this feature have become noticeable in CubePDF as well. As a result of our consideration of these circumstances, we have determined that it is no longer feasible to continue supporting this feature in CubePDF, and have decided to remove it from 4.2.0. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding.
